By accessing or using the website located at canadaafricachamber.ca (the "Website") or any services offered by the Canada Africa International Business Chamber of Commerce ("CAIBCC", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Website or services.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, members, event attendees, sponsors, and any other persons who access or use our services.
CAIBCC is a non-profit chamber of commerce registered in Canada, headquartered at 3552 W 41st Ave, Vancouver, BC V6N 3E6. Our mission is to facilitate mutually beneficial commercial relationships between businesses in Canada and across the African continent through networking, knowledge sharing, trade missions, advocacy, and business matchmaking.
3.1 Permitted Use
You may use the Website for lawful purposes only. You agree to use the Website in accordance with all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations in Canada, as well as the laws of any country from which you access the Website.
3.2 Prohibited Activities
You must not:
- Use the Website for any fraudulent, unlawful, or unauthorized purpose
- Post, transmit, or distribute any content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, or hateful
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our Website, systems, or user accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Website
- Harvest or collect personal information of other users without their consent
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Website without our written permission
- Impersonate CAIBCC, its staff, members, or any third party
4.1 Membership Registration
To become a member of CAIBCC, you must complete the registration process on our Website and pay the applicable membership fee. By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate, complete, and current.
4.2 Membership Tiers & Fees
CAIBCC offers the following membership tiers:
- Individual Membership — CAD $150 per year: For entrepreneurs, consultants, and professionals
- Corporate Membership — CAD $500 per year: For SMEs with up to 50 employees
- Grand Sponsor Membership — CAD $2,500 per year: For large enterprises seeking premium visibility
Fees are subject to change with reasonable prior notice to members.
4.3 Membership Benefits
Membership benefits are as described on our Website at the time of registration. CAIBCC reserves the right to modify, add, or remove member benefits with reasonable notice.
4.4 Membership Renewal & Cancellation
Memberships are valid for one (1) year from the date of registration and must be renewed annually. If you wish to cancel your membership, please contact us at contact@canadaafricachamber.ca. Refunds are not provided for unused portions of the membership year, except where required by applicable law.
4.5 Code of Conduct
All members agree to conduct themselves professionally and ethically in all interactions facilitated through CAIBCC. CAIBCC reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for conduct that is harmful, discriminatory, fraudulent, or otherwise in violation of these Terms.
5.1 Event Registration
By registering for any CAIBCC event, you agree to comply with the specific terms applicable to that event, including any event-specific cancellation and refund policies communicated at the time of registration.
5.2 Cancellations & Refunds
Event cancellation and refund policies will be outlined in the event registration details. Unless otherwise stated, CAIBCC does not offer refunds for cancellations made less than 14 days before the event. CAIBCC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events; in such cases, registered attendees will be notified and offered a refund or transfer.
5.3 Photography & Recording
CAIBCC events may be photographed, recorded, or livestreamed for promotional and archival purposes. By attending an event, you consent to being photographed or recorded. If you object, please notify the event organizer in writing before or upon arrival.
All payments made through our Website are processed securely. Fees are charged in Canadian Dollars (CAD). CAIBCC uses trusted third-party payment processors and does not store your complete financial information on our servers.
All amounts are stated in Canadian Dollars unless otherwise specified. You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your purchases.
All content on the CAIBCC Website — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, event materials, publications, and software — is the property of CAIBCC or its content partners and is protected by applicable Canadian and international intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or publicly display any content from this Website without the prior written consent of CAIBCC, except for personal, non-commercial use with proper attribution.
Our Website may contain links to third-party websites or services. These links are provided for convenience only. CAIBCC does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or services of any third-party websites. You access such websites at your own risk.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Website shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in accordance with the applicable arbitration rules.
CAIBCC reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Website with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
